Pro-Trump Outside Group Plans to Target Sen. Heller (R) for his opposing GOP health bill

The barrage attacks against Heller will be backed by $1M (by America First Priorities) blitz in his home state of Nevada. Heller has stated he can't support the bill because of its cuts to Medicaid. He's up for re-election in 2018. I kinda feel sorry for the guy. He can't vote for it, if his state wants to keep Medicaid as it is, but he'll be mercilessly attacked if he doesn't vote for it.

If he votes for the bill, though, that would give any Democratic opponent in 2018 a leg up, I would think.

So the donors will invest some money into ads. If you're worth 20 billion, sinking $1M into some ads is nothing.

Heller knows he will be threaten by Trump and Pence. My hunch is he will fall in line once the numbers on the campaign check hits a certain number. He knows his number is up here in Nevada. Take the money and run.

...this man may not have known exactly he'd have these decisions to make, yet he knew for damn sure he'd have unpopular decisions to make while holding the office he chose to accept.

We all have tough choices every day. Buy medicine or food. Public transportation or car pool or drive? Replace shoes/clothing or repair/mend them? Again. I know grass fed beef is better for my body yet the big box grocery store has a sale meaning 60% savings for me.

I challenge your thinking that this man is a victim. It matters in the long run/big picture.

but he's between a rock and a hard place. A lose-lose position.

It's good for a Democratic opponent, so I'm not rooting for him to get re-elected.

Of all the ones who have expressed concerns about the GOP bill, he is the only one so far that has been targeted. I guess that's because his re-election is 2018 and he's on shaky ground. He also is the only one who came out and said he couldn't vote for it. That's not the way Rand Paul put it. Rand Paul said the goal is not to prevent the bill from passing, but to "make it better." Political sidestep talk.
