That's really the only fair thing to do. So:
If you voted for Democrats, you get the ACA coverage.
If you voted for Republicans, you get TrumpCare.
If you voted for Green Party candidates or withheld your vote because you just didn't like Hillary Clinton well enough, you will have to move to somewhere that has single payer, because you helped elect Donald Trump, despite hating his guts.
If you voted for really right wing or libertarian candidates, you don't have to buy any insurance. You've got yours, so I'm sure you've got it handled. We won't force you to have any healthcare at all.
If you didn't bother to vote because you don't care what happens in this country, then you can do as you please and take your chances.

Red states can do what they want.

(146,262 posts)See, not everyone can choose where they live, really. Some people are stuck where they are, regardless of their political views. There are good Democratic voters and liberals in every state, even the reddest of the red states.
So, letting the states handle healthcare isn't really all that good an idea, I think.

(19,948 posts)cover their populations, Red States won't and people will die. The problem is what happens to Democratic voters in Red States or Rep run Purple States ? You can't just walk away from them.
If one was being cynical, you'd almost want that to happen but people should be bigger than that.
