The solar eclipse in August

I wonder how the folks who "don't believe" in global climate change or evolution square their opinion with the incredible accuracy with which astronomers map August's solar eclipse, knowing quite precisely where it will reach totality, for how long, and in what direction. Do they think it's magic?

And yeah, if you suspect I'm just trying to make some people look dumb, I am.
