Pew study: Most of the world doesn’t have confidence in Trump
During the 2016 presidential campaign, then-candidate Trump attacked Barack Obama’s handling of foreign policy. “[O]ur friends are beginning to think they can’t depend on us. We’ve had a president who dislikes our friends and bows to our enemies, something that we’ve never seen before in the history of our country,” Trump said on April 27, 2016. But check this out: “According to a new Pew Research Center survey spanning 37 nations, a median of just 22% has confidence in Trump to do the right thing when it comes to international affairs. This stands in contrast to the final years of Barack Obama’s presidency, when a median of 64% expressed confidence in Trump’s predecessor to direct America’s role in the world.” And here’s a look at individual countries, contrasting their confidence in Obama vs. confidence in Trump:
