The repubs Cannot Win Without Cheating

For anyone who thinks they legitimately won their last 3 election "wins," I've got a bridge to sell you.

Shrub ended his 2nd term with, if I recall correctly, one of the 3 worst approval ratings of all time. I think Nixon & Hoover may have been worse. Surprise that they're all repubs. Drumpf is destined to be amongst them in the bottom 5. Why bother debating which one is the worst, They ALL SUCKED!!

In 2004, Shrub had to fix the voting machines. You know he did. The only time during his "presidency" that he had decent ratings was in the months following 9/11. Once he started with the Iraq distraction, they began going down, accelerating following Katrina, but he was already below 50% at that point. John Kerry won that election.

Then there's 2000. We all know what happened there. Should have been President Gore. Oh, but for what might have been.

And now we have 2016, and despite everyone saying he would lose, and then having lost the Popular vote by a significant margin, it should be clear that something funny happened. Since we never learned the truth about 2004, I am pessimistic that we'll ever know it here either. "They" have too much to lose if people realize the voting system is a sham, and that people's votes can be switched at a whim by someone who wants to make this country a fascist state, and themselves a Dictator. In other words, rendering the whole election BS and the 2 year lead up to it a complete and utter joke. Those contributions the parties love so much will dwindle were that truth ever to be told, so perhaps both sides have reason not to want that to EVER come out.

So the repubs find themselves now in a place where their ideas are against the majority of the American people. They still have, and will likely always have, their 30-35% base, who will defend them if they went in the street and started shooting people at random. These are the people who would take an Act written on 1 piece of toilet paper, if they were told it is the replacement to Obamacare. Reality and Facts do not matter to them.

Their other ideas are also against what the general population wants. Dickhead Sessions wants to go against Pot smokers, even though states can't legalize it fast enough. Want to sponsor a bill that has a chance at being approved by voters, push for pot legalization, although you're running out of states to do it in. Yet still the repub A-Holes think it's the 1980's War On Drugs, same as it ever was.

They want to restrict Abortion rights, yet a solid majority of Americans oppose that. They hope that they can get enough Supremes that they can pretend they're not to blame, if it does ever happen that Roe V Wade is overturned.

About the only thing they could rally around is Tax Relief. But you know any Tax Relief they propose is going to give a couple of cents to the middle class, and Millions to the top 1%. They will try and sell it, and hope enough of the non-33%'s fall for their Bullshit, about eliminating the Estate Tax on folks with $5 Million+ is going to help them when they die.

I could go on and on, but then we come to Health Care. They have to somehow convince the Non-33%'s that their idea to provide health care to all, is superior to the Act currently in effect. Many people said it would be difficult, once people had a few years to get used to this, and it would be hard to justify taking it away. They thought that 22 Million off would not be too controversial, so who knows what # they can make fly. Again, that 17% (50-33) is key, if they can get to 50/50, they can LIE, which is what they do best, and skew it to make it appear they have a majority of the American public on their side, therefore making a case for a new Act.

The question is whether they will have to accept that they cannot gut the current act, and have to instead modify it, which would involve sucking it up, and admitting there are many good aspects to the way it is working now. You know, basically what the Democrats have been saying and trying to do for several years now.

Coming back to my original point, is that the repubs have ideas which run counter to the majority of Americans. Oh...they do have the unwavering support of their 33%, and many repubs are probably safe since they run in high-racist-bigot districts, or with a lot of rich folk. They always will lose, unless they can get it close enough to steal. It's all about Winning, since once they're in power, they can try to get away with stuff, perhaps not all, but enough to keep their base happy, and to keep the Democrats frustrated that all the good things they accomplished, can be taken away just because they have the power to do what they feel like.

It's nice that today was not one of those days, and their power did not work the way they had desired. They will be back again before we know it, so this fight is obviously not over. Let's hope the eyes of the Non-33%'s the repubs are trying to pull the wool over on, are wide open now, and the embarrassment of not being able to accomplish this extremely important goal of there's, will cause them to give up and concede defeat for the time being.
