is dead. It has only been postponed.
McConnell is putting the vote off until after July 4th. In other words, so he will have time
to do some serious arm-twisting.
Senators saying they will not vote for it, blah, blah, blah are pulling a John McCain - all talk but fall in line when it is time to actually vote.
If and when it is truly defeated, I will be one of the first to rejoice. Until then I'll stick to calling my Senator, etc.

(24,761 posts)The villains didn't pull MurderCare permanently--they only delayed it a couple of weeks so they can sneak even more cruel and diabolical things in this bill behind the backs of the American people and try to sweeten the pot by giving moderates a bone too small for even a Chihuahua puppy!

(2,062 posts)United front, we need to pursue this further. 2018 must MUST be the turn in the road we are looking for. We MUST take the majority in the Senate. The house may be lost, but we MUST MUST MUST take the majority in the senate. We need to have control of the Senate committees, the confirmations, the impeachment trials.... get this message out to all voters that this healthcare bill will kill people you love. Insist that your reps answer for this. Get to the town halls and do not let them talk their way out of it....
