Don’t wear a Batman costume to a wedding or a funeral, that’s one we can all agree on, right? Don’t be a 40 year old man using the word “Amazeballs” unless you’re Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 3. Deadpool gets a pass. Don't drink canned wine at your own intervention. Don’t get arrested and think that a Monopoly “Get Out Of Jail Free” card is an actual get out of jail free card. That happened. Don’t google search “Rick Perry eating a hot dog in front of a painting”. Yes, really, don’t do that. I’m warning you – do not do that. And one thing I think we can all agree on – especially don’t carry weapons loaded with live ammunition around endangered species. Yeah that’s a thing – gun nuts are apparently defying a ban on guns in the zoo by well, you guessed it – carrying actual loaded guns into a zoo. Can we show that?
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Yeah we live in a world where gun rights advocates want to carry guns in zoos. I mean seriously that’s a thing that exists right now. This is why we can’t have nice things people! Don’t take your giant shotguns into a zoo where endangered species are present. Do you get that? Maybe you don’t. There’s a time and place for everything and guns in zoos should not be allowed under any circumstances. And why do we need “gun rights groups”? Guns have more rights than people do! We have to explore that for “How Is This Still A Thing” in a future edition. OK enough of the intro. We got a lot of idiocy to cover. God, where do we begin this week? You know we’re off next week because it’s the July 4th holiday but we’ll be back on the 12th and tearing into the GOP’s madness. So with that in mind the number one slot of this week’s edition is going to Mitch McConnell (1). So the details of their secret healthcare bill have been released, and if you guessed it robs from the poor to give to the rich, you are correct! Taking the 2nd slot is Nancy Pelosi Slammers (2) because in the wake of the GA-06 loss, people are quick to point fingers but we’re going to defend Pelosi and turn the tables on those playing the blame game. In the 3rd and 4th slots is President Donald Trump of course. In the third slot we’re going to talk more about his insane health care proposal and how Trump (3) doesn’t give a shit. Meanwhile in the 4th slot is all about Trump golfing. Yes, he spent the last weekend golfing. Again. But did you know that he’s a colossal dick on the golf course? And why are we not surprised? Taking the fifth slot this week is the Alt Right (5). Who loves to hate more than the Alt Right does? This week was a banner week for them – there was a protest in Washington DC that nobody paid attention to, the Oath Keepers gave a very poorly attended speech, and Mike Cernovich got caught paying protestors. Seated at number 6 this week , we’ve got a new installment of “How Is This Still A Thing” and we’re going to ask “Project Veritas – How Is This Still A Thing?”. In case you didn’t see James O’Keefe’s (6) latest “victory” in the right’s war on liberalism. In the number 7 slot, we’ve got to talk about Dennis Rodman. You know he’s our North Korean diplomat, right? Well, it’s about as batshit crazy as you might think it is, and it’s even more bizarre when he’s back here at home. Taking the number 8 seed is Bill Cosby (8), and in the last week he has done some crazy stuff, but none as much as what he has announced this week! In the number 9 (NEIN!!!!!) slot we’re going to have yet another installment of “I Need A Drink”, and this time we’re going to the Yukon to tell you the tale of how the famous toe used in the legendary sourtoe cocktail was stolen. We talked about this in the intro last week, but it’s way crazier than you would think, and yes, there will be plenty of Big Lebowski references to go around! Finally this week, we have the next destination of our Top 10 Conservative Idiots World Tour 2017! This week, grab your pints of Guiness as we’re going to Ireland! So this might be one of the more interesting entries on the world tour because Ireland’s feuding neighbors Northern Ireland are the missing piece of the Brexit puzzle, and that could get really messy. Right. Plus this week – we’re capping off our LGBT Pride month celebration with a band that is a huge friend to the LGBT community that will be a mystery! Who is it? Right now, the Trump administration is *DESPERATELY* trying to get anything passed, and his controversial plan to repeal and replace Obamacare with something better has hit quite the snag and it’s beginning to unravel very quickly. And caught in the middle is Senate Majority Leader and guy who kind of looks like a cartoon turtle, Mitch McConnell.
Senate Republican's health-care reform bill is worse than the House version, Democratic Sen. Heidi Heitkamp told CNBC on Monday.
The North Dakota senator said the GOP health bill is not an Obamacare replacement but "entitlement reform." Nothing in the new bill "adds up," she said.
"You have to look at it from a mile high and they're trying to tell you we're going to keep coverage the same, no one's going to get hurt, and we're going to take billions of dollars out of health care," Heitkamp said on "Squawk Box."
"Once it's parsed and people have a chance to look at it, it is only going to get more difficult," she added.
At least five Republican senators have announced public opposition to the Senate GOP plan as of Monday morning, with some claiming the bill does nothing to deal with rising health-care costs. To assure passage, Republicans cannot lose more than two GOP votes.

And Mitch McConnell is definitely letting the evil flow through him this week, because, as soon as people found out about the details of the bill, there was a protest involving disabled people outside McConnell’s office – and in true 1984 fashion – they were forcibly removed. I mean really, how big of a dick do you have to be to remove people from their wheelchairs?
U.S. Capitol Police forcibly removed demonstrators and disability advocates — some of whom were in wheelchairs — protesting the Senate's proposed health care bill outside of Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's office Thursday.
Capitol Police said they arrested 43 protesters for refusing to end the demonstration.
Organized by ADAPT, a disability rights organization, the protest targeted the bill's significant cuts to Medicaid for low-income Americans.
"No cuts to Medicaid, save our liberties," the protesters chanted. One protester who was in a wheelchair held a sign reading "life and liberty 4 disabled Americans."

The swift rejection may be a negotiating ploy, but the public nature of it is a reminder for McConnell of the deep reservations running through his own conference on a proposal that conservatives do not believe goes far enough to repeal Obamacare -- and the monumental challenge that lies ahead as he looks for 50 "yes" votes.
Over the next few days, McConnell needs to determine what concessions he can make to sway at least two of the four conservative senators -- but do so without losing support from the more moderate wing of the Senate, some of whom face tough re-elections next year.

Let's face it guys - this was a particularly lousy month to be a liberal. You had Greg Gianforte body slamming his way into Congress. You had the Steve Scalise shooting by a Bernie Sanders supporter who voiced strong liberal views. You had Sarah Huckabee Sanders declaring war on CNN by drowning out a reporter and playing a slandering video obtained under really shady circumstances. Sean Spicer shut off the cameras in the WH press briefing room, though something tells me this sketch won't be the last time anyone connected to the Trump administration is recorded by a sketch artist. But most importantly you had the Georgia 6th loss of John Ossoff to Karen Handel, and now the blame is being placed on Nancy Pelosi. But we must power through it damn it! Let's look ahead, not backward. And that goes for you, Nancy Pelosi Slammers! Nancy Pelosi Slammers sounds like a side dish at a political themed chain restaurant doesn’t it? Add a side of Nancy Pelosi Slammers to your entrée for only $4.99! Well there’s a movement afoot! No, not in the conservative world, in the liberal world! In case you’re living under a rock, democrats lost their 4th – yes – 4th special election. So this has us liberals scratching our heads, and the MAGA people gloating, but you know what? I say let the MAGA idiots gloat, because they’ll have to do this again in a year and it’s going to be a conservative blood bath in the election if this trend continues:
Let me share a few thoughts about tonight’s results out of Georgia’s 6th district in which Republican Karen Handel has now been projected as the winner.
First, there’s no question and there should be no denying that this is a very disappointing loss. It is a very Republican district. It was vacated by HHS Secretary Tom Price who has been a key architect of Trumpcare, which is now readying to scythe its way through the tens of millions of Americans who gained coverage from Obamacare. It was even the seat once held by Newt Gingrich. Taking it from the GOP would have been a big victory both substantively and symbolically. It would also have sent a clear signal that the GOP’s House majority is living on borrowed time.
All this being said, this is a heavily Republican district and Republicans just barely held on to the seat. Yes, Democrats gave it everything they had, with small donors from around the country pouring money into the race. But Republican SuperPacs poured millions into the race too. In the last three elections, Tom Price won this seat by 65%, 66% and 62%. A significant part of those almost 2 to 1 margins was due to the fact that Democrats fielded only nominal candidates who raised little or no money. But these are chicken and egg type questions. It is precisely because this is a strongly Republican district that Price drew no serious contenders. A better measure are the recent presidential results. There John McCain won the district by 62% and Mitt Romney won it by 61%. To use yet another measure, 538 rates it a +9.5 Republican district, which means it’s 9.5 percentage points more GOP than the country as a whole.

Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? I mean that was a huge gain in a district where the democrats have lost 6 of the last 7 elections! Are we doing something right or are the republicans doing everything wrong? I would say it’s a bit of column A, a little of column B. But why is Nancy Pelosi suddenly under attack from all angles? Both House seats were deep in the red. The Montana and Kansas seats were, too. For Republicans, there can be no comfort in knowing that the Democrats didn’t flip any of the seats from red to blue. The trend to blue is undeniable and if it holds, or even if it weakens slightly, a slew of swing districts will move into the Democratic column in the midterm election.
A Democratic House majority would make Trump, or any other Republican, a lame Duck for the rest of his term. The idea of Paul Ryan handing the gavel back to Nancy Pelosi must be driving the Republicans to the edge. The Committee Chairs would pass to the Democrats as well.
That’s why you see a sudden outburst of emotion about Pelosi. She was always a favorite obsession of Right-wingers. Compare the legislation that the House passed by this date in 2009 with the current session. Pelosi gets the job done.
What the Republicans need is a compelling campaign theme for 2018. For now, at least, it seems like Pelosi’s age is it for them. It should be common sense that this isn’t a good look. It wasn’t four years ago and it isn’t now.

During his interview with CNN, Tim Ryan also decided to lambaste his former mentor Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who has been one of the strongest, most persistent, resilient and relentless forces against Donald Trump, his cronies and the self-serving GOP. Tim Ryan may be able to justify his sour grapes for Pelosi even though when he arrived in Washington, she hooked him up with a slot on the House Democratic Steering Committee which he used to advance his career. But now she’s hurt his feelings. She crushed him in last November’s internal Democratic Party House Leader bid.
When Don Lemon asked Tim Ryan if he thought Pelosi was more toxic than Trump, Ryan actually said yes.
“The honest answer (opposed to when he’s giving a dishonest answer) is, in some areas of the country, yes, she is.”
Given her integrity and the great respect Pelosi has earned from her colleagues over years in office, Ryan’s statement couldn’t have been more repulsive. For Ryan to even compare Leader Pelosi to a lying, scamming, hateful, tax-evading thug and sexual predator like Trump—is incredulous. And then to say she’s more toxic than Trump, on any level, is outrageous, especially coming from a Democratic lawmaker. You see, Tim Ryan thinks he could do a better job than Pelosi even though Republicans have the majority in the House, Senate, Oval Office and now Supreme Court. Before we talk more about the Trumpcare bill, we have to point out exactly how fake Trump is. So Trump has posted this cover of Time Magazine in all of his golf course restaurants.
The framed copy of Time Magazine was hung up in at least four of President Trump’s golf clubs, from South Florida to Scotland. Filling the entire cover was a photo of Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump: The ‘Apprentice’ is a television smash!” the big headline said. Above the Time nameplate, there was another headline in all caps: “TRUMP IS HITTING ON ALL FRONTS .?.?. EVEN TV!”
This cover — dated March 1, 2009 — looks like an impressive memento from Trump’s pre-presidential career. To club members eating lunch, or golfers waiting for a pro-shop purchase, it seemed to be a signal that Trump had always been a man who mattered. Even when he was just a reality-TV star, Trump was the kind of star who got a cover story in Time. But that wasn’t true. The Time cover is a fake.
There was no March 1, 2009, issue of Time Magazine. And there was no issue at all in 2009 that had Trump on the cover.
In fact,the cover on display at Trump’s clubs, observed recently by a reporter visiting one of the properties, contains several small but telling mistakes. Its red border is skinnier than that of a genuine Time cover, and, unlike the real thing, there is no thin white border next to the red. The Trump cover’s secondary headlines are stacked on the right side — on a real Time cover, they would go across the top.

It would in theory retain the “Cadillac tax” on expensive insurance plans, which is meant to discourage taxpayer-funded overspending on health care, but would delay its implementation for nearly another decade. Though the scorekeepers at the Congressional Budget Office will count the revenue the Cadillac tax would eventually raise, it is a good bet the federal government will never see any of that money. The tax has already been delayed once, and Congress has shown little interest in restraining health-care costs when doing so poses any threat to middle-class benefits.

Which is funny when you think about it, because Alex Jones is responsible for some of the most violent political hate speech around. Just ask the victims of Sandy Hook. So what happened on Saturday? Spencer reportedly told journalists before the rally that he is disappointed with President Trump's administration so far and is waiting for the White House to implement some of the policies Trump promised while campaigning.

“I’ll give up to 10 people $1,000,” Cernovich says in the footage. “I need you to get up with either a ‘CNN is ISIS’ or ‘Bill Clinton’s a rapist’ or ‘The media is terrorism’ . And if you’re able to get up and be escorted out by security, then I will give you $1,000.”
In other words, Cernovich was actively and openly looking to recruit paid protesters. You know how conservatives made up that ridiculous myth about George Soros sending checks to liberals who march in protests? This is the real version of that, only sponsored by Cernovich.

He also noted the story is "good for business."

But there’s more to this story than you would imagine. Remember our paid protestor Laura Loomer? Well, she was an employee of Project Veritas!
On Friday morning, Laura Loomer woke up early and took a Metro-North train from West Harrison, New York, where she lives, to Manhattan. She made her way to Central Park and secured a second-row ticket to that night’s performance of the Public Theatre’s production of “Julius Caesar.” Then she walked around the Upper East Side for a few hours, stopping to get her nails done (color selection: Blue My Mind). Loomer is twenty-four. During the 2016 Presidential campaign, she worked for Project Veritas, the right-wing sting operation run by James O’Keefe. Operating undercover, she performed various stunts—for example, on Election Day, she appeared at a polling station wearing a burqa and asked for a ballot under the name Huma Abedin. Two weeks ago, Loomer left Project Veritas for the Rebel, a video-heavy outlet based in Canada. (From its About Us page: “We don’t just report the news, we participate in it.”) After a few years of anonymous work, she was eager to find the spotlight.

Before releasing the tapes Thursday, O'Keefe was featured on The Drudge Report and on Sean Hannity's radio show, where he previewed their release.
Instead, what O'Keefe released on Thursday landed with a dull thud in the media world. Though not all the hours of tapes have been made available for review, and damning recordings could still come out, O'Keefe made clear the audio he obtained is from 2009 and for the most part features lower-level staffers at the network.

But that’s not the only fail Project Veritas has had to endure lately. Yeah let the deplorables gloat over this one, they’re only making themselves look more foolish every time something like this happens. Sure, it’s only fake news right? And then there was this from last year – and Project Veritas takes things so out of context that it’s near impossible to evaluate their validity.

Yes, why do I bring up The Big Lebowski, you might ask? Well we might need a White Russian or two to tell the tale of the missing toe in the Yukon. Yes, there really is a missing toe. Yes, there’s more to this story than you might think. Yes, this is crazier than you would expect. As I said last week, there’s a lot of strange dealings in the Great White North, the country better known as Canada. Specifically, the tiny Western Yukon city of Dawson City. Here’s more:
Police in Canada have launched an investigation after a patron at a Yukon bar allegedly stole the famed ingredient of their signature drink: a mummified human toe.
For more than 40 years the Downtown hotel in Dawson City has served up the sourtoe cocktail, a shot of whisky with a blackened toe – nail and all – bobbing inside. Those who manage to touch the gnarled, severed toe to their lips earn a certificate.
On Saturday a customer took it one step further, allegedly making off with the wrinkled digit after swallowing his drink. “We are furious,” said Terry Lee of the hotel. “Toes are very hard to come by.”

The tradition claims to trace its roots to the 1920s, when a rum runner preserved his frostbitten, amputated big toe in a jar of alcohol in his cabin. Fifty years later, the pickled toe was discovered by a Yukon native who brought it to the Downtown, where it became a celebrated ingredient in its drinks.
After Saturday’s theft, the hotel contacted the police and began offering a reward to anyone with information. “We fortunately have a couple of back-up toes, but we really need this one back,” said Lee.

Ireland is also the home of the Blarney Castle which contains the world famous Blarney Stone. If you kiss it people say you gain the gift of eloquence, which has been touted for centuries! Ireland is also home to unique sports like Gaelic Football and Hurling. What is hurling? Even we don’t know! But what else is Ireland the home of? It’s the home of Northern Ireland. So Northern Ireland is emerging as the biggest piece of the puzzle in the Brexit talks. So what does that mean? Let’s go in depth on this.

The decision, finalized on the first day of talks Monday, to bring in the highest-ranking officials from both sides — Oliver Robbins and Sabine Weyand — to oversee the issue was a clear signal of how seriously the U.K. and the EU take the matter, and how alive they are to the political risks.
Discussions on Northern Ireland, the only part of the U.K. to have a land border with the EU will, over the summer, focus on technical solutions to the over-arching conundrum: how can a hard border, with customs, regulatory standards and immigration checks be avoided, when the U.K. wants to leave not only the EU but its customs union and single market as well.
Both sides agreed a week prior to Monday’s talks that the political sensitivities of the issue were such that Robbins and Weyand should take the lead, granting the matter special status within the wider negotiation. There is a "very good" chance the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) and Conservatives will agree a parliamentary deal by next week, a DUP MP has said.
Sir Jeffrey Donaldson said that it was a case of "the sooner, the better".
Theresa May is seeking the support of the DUP's 10 MPs after losing her majority in the general election.
Both sides have been talking, but have not confirmed a deal to support a Conservative minority government.

"What we are insisting on achieving is a special status for Northern Ireland that allows the interaction on this island, as is currently the case, to be maintained," he said.
"It is not so much about a soft or hard border, it is about an invisible border effectively, that you don't notice as you cross it.

International research, published today by the Reuters Institute has found that Ireland has a higher trust in news media than the international average.
The survey of 36 countries found that 47% of Irish respondents trust the news media, compared with 41% internationally.
Meanwhile, just under a quarter (24%) of survey respondents worldwide said they think that social media do a good job in separating fact from fiction, compared to 40% for the news media.
In Ireland, the number of people who believe that news media does a good job is even higher, at 47%. The figure for social media is also higher among Irish respondents, at 28%.
Now in its sixth year, the annual Reuters Institute Digital News Report, published by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, reveals high levels of dissatisfaction internationally with the quality of news and comment generally, and on social media in particular.
