CNN - This poll number on health care should make Senate Republicans queasy - 17%

Less than 1 in 5 people (17%) approve of the Senate bill, according to a new NPR/PBS Newshour/Marist poll released Wednesday morning. A majority -- 55% -- disapprove. The numbers are disastrous among Democrats (8% approve) and independents (13%) but perhaps most surprisingly bad among Republicans -- just 1 in 3 (35%) of whom approve of the Senate legislation. More self-identified conservatives disapprove of the bill (34%) than approve of it (31%).

These poll numbers are horrible -- and also the rule rather than the exception on the Republican health care replacement legislation. In a Kaiser Family Foundation poll released last Friday, 55% had an unfavorable view of the Senate bill. And the trend line -- even among Republicans -- isn't headed in the right direction; 67% had a favorable view of the health care bill in May while just 56% felt that way in June.)

1,205 adults. from June 22nd through June 25th, 2017 with 939 adults and 769 registered voters. The margin of error is +/- 3.2 percentage points and +/- 3.5 percentage points, respectively. The error margin was not adjusted for sample weights and increases for cross-tabulations.

Well, the Senate bill has only been out there for less than a week. I'm sure that approval number will go down as more people become familiar with the bill.

This will not, however, cause Senate Republicans to re-think their strategy in coming up with a bill. They'll keep trying to polish this turd.

the numbers suck for the Turtle and Rethugs in General. But,do not take your eye off the ball, this POS will reappear next week just as ugly as this week. McConnell's Staffers will tweak this sucker to placate the weak sisters who will receive their bribes on Friday as campaign donations. This will correlate with the next reporting quarter for FEC filings.

After all, that was the internal theme of the GOP,rape the poor and needy of their fair share of the pie and give it to our campaign donors.
