I don't want a democratic party which is the party of the middle class

I want a democratic party which is the party of the middle class, the lworking class, and anyone in the upper class that cares enough about the future of the planet and society to work for common goals.

If you think that the democratic party is hurting because of the 'reagan democrat' voters who always vote for their own pocketbook, you haven't given enough thought to what will happen if the minorities, the true working class, and the people who are always thinking about the future be it about the environment, education, science, or biodiversity abandon the party for greener pastures.

And for all of your harkening back to the 'new deal' days....the new deal sucked for POC and women and LGBT and the disabled and ......

Using the term "middle class" is one way that capitalists divide workers and exploit us all. Such usage allows capitalists to attack "the poor" as being undeserving and also taking tax dollars that could otherwise go to the "middle class".

The corporate democrats killed the public option and doomed it to failure. That is the problem with the democratic party many are just as in the pocket of the rich as the repugs.
