My husband wants to spend the day with his family. While most members are great people, one of his brothers in law is a right wing religious fanatic. I do everything I can to avoid him which means sometimes I have managed to skip family get-togethers. This will be the first since their mother's internment so I'm getting more pressure from my husband to attend.

Add to that factor I am not feeling great and have little endurance and we have to drive three hours to get to the event. So six hours of driving, a long afternoon of socializing, then my husband was talking about going to the fireworks show and I HATE fireworks. Yes, I am a grump. Everybody else would have more fun without me there.
