(24,259 posts)bloody well dig it up for themselves. If they want voters private information they can go pound salt.
Any state gov or SoS that caves to this nonsense that was created purely to appease Trump's ego and his moronic base, not to mention will very likely be used to chip away at our constitutional right to vote, is a damn fool.

(24,259 posts)This definitely sounds like something they're trying to do.
It should be scrapped not spread further.
You might have seen these before but they might be of interest to others so I thought I'd share here.

And this next article is about the head of Trump's bs commitee who's been a major player in voter suppression laws and Crosscheck (it's where I first heard of Crosscheck). This jerk proudly proclaims that he's the 'ACLUs worst nightmare' so he must really loathe our rights & Constitution. (Gads but I'd like to send all these pseudo 'patriots'... traitors... to Russia where they belong.)

(60,010 posts)This bald faced effort to make an enemy's list is actually frightening.
Until now, no President ( meaning, in this case, his minions) no President would have dreamed of doing this.
The fact the idea even came up tells us a whole lot about how dangerous he and Russian gang members are.
People need to organize calls to their SOS and Gov. against this.

(24,259 posts)Once they have all this information what's to stop them from selling the list to an org like the NRA who recently created an ad inciting its members to do violence against their perceived 'enemy'... us.
While some of the info they're requesting is available to the public I don't think the states should make it easy on these jerks by handing it to them on a platter. There's some info requested that's not public and there's no way the states should give that out to an obviously partisan bunch that would abuse it.
