Trump is a Swine

The controversy over Trump's tweets about Mika & Joe should be viewed as neither a distraction from the Russian probe, nor as distinct from it. Rather, Trump's outburst is symptomatic of a man who feels that his world is coming apart at the seams. His behavior is that of the most cowardly bully, a punk.

Trump likes to incorrectly refer to himself as a “counter-puncher.” This, of course, is a term he heard when he was involved in promoting championship boxing in Atlantic City – something he ultimately failed at, despite being funded by HBO. Yet, his use of that term is the bluff of someone who does not understand its meaning: a counter-puncher maneuvers the opponent into throwing the punches that he is prepared to respond to. Trump is that guy who, when he is getting his ass kicked, resorts to a blatant foul, hoping for temporary respite.

The “cloud” over his presidency that Mr. Comey said Trump constantly whined about involves the investigation of the Trump-Russian scandal. It continues to build strength, while Trump fails in his efforts to repeal President Obama's advances in health care. The Supreme Court gave him a partial victory, yet his administration's overstep on this has already resulted in an upcoming legal challenge. It is the synergy of Trump's weaknesses that cause his unseemly twitter rants.

To paraphrase the Rolling Stones, Trump sees a threatening his very presidency today ….a storm that offers him no shelter from eventually being kicked out of the way. We should be taking full opportunity of this – not as an effort to spike “Mourning Joe's” ratings, but to inflict damage upon Trump. Certainly, the current Congress is not going to impeach and convict Trump at this point. But it would be wonderful if some good Democrats, in both the House and Senate, would at least take actions aimed at censuring him for his latest outburst. And everyone here can – at the very least – contact their elected representatives and recommend this.

In terms of the Russian investigation, Trump's outburst provides evidence of two things: what has taken place in the past two weeks, behind closed doors, has the president very upset. And his behavior continues to follow along a consistent path of bullying and low-blows.

For many years, I was employed in social work. I investigated all types of domestic abuse in the field, and later co-facilitated numerous DV groups. I provided documentation to the courts, and testified in more cases than I can remember. Donald Trump is a classic example of a low-life thug who is convinced that he is justified – the old “look what you made me do!” horseshit – that it is safe to say that he is 100% incapable of change.

But we are not. We can institute change.

Peace,
H2O Man

That anyone supported him in November, and especially those who still do, is a harsh wake-up call by their very existence. And it's high time that those republicans who know he poses a threat to the Constitution have an obligation to take active positions in opposition to him. This ain't about "politics." And it couldn't be clearer.

That is him, his life. He has stolen, grifted, threatened, blackmailed his way through his existence and no one ever stood up to the all powerful Oz or said no. This learning curve must be mystifying to both him and his. I think even if he ends up in prison stripes he still will be unable to understand why no one likes or is fair to him. I'm waiting to see what makes that fat balloon finally pop.

Some days, I sit out on my property, and watch the "frequent visitors" to my lawn. In the spring, about 40 wild turkeys consumed everything around my bird-feeders. Also, three deer. Then, a female gray fox, that had recently delivered kits, and who likes the left-over dog food. Peepers peeped, and lightening bugs are lighting up the night sky. Everything seems normal.

It's when I am inside, and turn on the tv or internet that I find myself exposed to the land of the tweet, home of the knave. I like your description (though not that which it so well defines). Maybe I'll start sleeping out in the cabin ......

This asswipe is doing a lot of damage. And he very well may get this nation -- except for his family, of course -- involved in some violence that he has zero ability to control.

I know that several generals are keeping a close eye on him, but that's not the answer. He needs to be removed, now, by Congress. I think it will take between 12 and 18 months, though, and that will be an increasingly dangerous time.

We are at a dangerous point. And I appreciate that it's scary for a lot of good and decent people. For whatever reason -- or combination of reasons, including heredity and environment -- I have very rarely been scared. I was nervous sometimes before some boxing matches. And I'm not fond of public speaking. But by the time I was a social worker responding to "community crises," I was able to remain calm in the often dangerous situations I went into. I believe that is the best way to achieve heightened awareness.

about President Obama. In that sense, he definitely reminded me of JFK; these two were certainly the greatest presidents of my lifetime.

I like how Carl Bernstein describes the current situation as a "malignant presidency." He has noted that military leaders, the intelligence community's leadership, and even the top republicans in DC recognize this is the dangerous reality.

An interesting mental exercise -- at least for old-timers like me -- is to imagine the consequences of a crisis akin to the Cuban Missile crisis. JFK handled it correctly. Neither the two presidents before him would have, and likely none since until Obama. Trump is far more likely to create such a crisis, and lacks the capacity to deal with events if someone else did.

And a good holiday to you and yours!

Your "Mourning Joe" comment reminds me how Schmoe's been a CONservative for years and shares much responsibility for the critical problem of a disinformed public, which is at least a third of what's brought us to the political precipice.

While I'm grateful he's got a big megaphone and is broadcasting more honest reality-based information now, I'm also keeping in mind his part in this mess.

He may be fighting Jabba the Hut now, which is good, but he still cuts off Mika when she tries to talk. (From what little I see in clips that circulate.)

The thing I wonder about a lot is, the deplorables. What do we do with a large demographic of psychotics? How do we do a mass cult-deprogramming?

This is what a lot of Americans signed up for. He is obviously a bully. They believed he would bully OTHER people by giving them what they deserve or taking away by force what they don't deserve. We saw it early on when the McCain, Kelly and disabled reporter incidents didn't drive anyone away. His core supporters are a cancerous growth on our society. We need to confront this reality in our fight to retrieve a more humane, just and democratic society.

He is an extremely disturbed specimen. I rarely discuss people's sex lives, because I'm not interested in, or looking to judge, what consenting adults do. It's not my business. But, I think the exception is defined by the tape of Trump getting off by urinating on the Russian prostitutes. It sums up his view on women, and illustrates his relationship with them.

Pigs (Three Different Ones) (Waters) 11:26

Big man, pig man, ha ha charade you are.
You well heeled big wheel, ha ha charade you are.
And when your hand is on your heart,
You're nearly a good laugh,
Almost a joker,
With your head down in the pig bin,
Saying "Keep on digging."
Pig stain on your fat chin.
What do you hope to find.
When you're down in the pig mine.
You're nearly a laugh,
You're nearly a laugh
But you're really a cry.

Bus stop rat bag, ha ha charade you are.
You fucked up old hag, ha ha charade you are.
You radiate cold shafts of broken glass.
You're nearly a good laugh,
Almost worth a quick grin.
You like the feel of steel,
You're hot stuff with a hatpin,
And good fun with a hand gun.
You're nearly a laugh,
You're nearly a laugh
But you're really a cry.

Hey you, Whitehouse,
Ha ha charade you are.
You house proud town mouse,
Ha ha charade you are
You're trying to keep our feelings off the street.
You're nearly a real treat,
All tight lips and cold feet
And do you feel abused?
.....! .....! .....! .....!
You gotta stem the evil tide,
And keep it all on the inside.
Mary you're nearly a treat,
Mary you're nearly a treat
But you're really a cry.
