3. It's insulting that MSNBC thought liberals would watch her.

7. She's a friend of Rachel Maddow....
( See https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/reliable-source/wp/2016/05/20/bff-watch-rachel-maddow-and-greta-van-susteren/?utm_term=.1f7f23c975b6 )
who was also a big fan of her Fox show: "Greta Van Susteren is great"... |

18. Yes. All of the MSNBC hosts tried to give her a great start.
I figured it was orders from above, though RM seemed genuine.

10. Well, she's being replaced by liberal Ari Melber, who
I suspect Rachel likes a lot better. I don't recall Van Sustern subbing for Rachel.
I hope Ari's show does well. These days he'll be like a sunny clearing in a conservative forest. |

14. Well, Kagan and Scalia were best buds.
Sometimes people like being close to their nemesis.

6. They never should have hired her and the other right wingers they have recently hired.
I hope they all bomb in the ratings and get fired as well.
I don't watch Fox 'News' for a reason. They lie. They don't believe in facts. They misrepresent. They omit. They manipulate. I don't know why MSNBC is trying to emulate them. |

9. 18%(300,000 viewers instantly shut off MSNBC when her show began at 6, Hardball brought 58% back.
Her show sucked mostly because she uncritically allowed Right-wing talking points to be repeated ad nauseam. Only recently did she put real fangs in her critique... too late for management.

12. She was probably told to do that (insert rightie talking points).
The whole enchilada was dirty. Greta was sucked in on the promise of "you will be a great fit and your viewpoint will be great for M$NBC." I didn't think it would work as I switched and watched the Wolfman at 6pm. I don't think Greta is a bad person and I kinda feel sorry for her and wish her well.
