And why not? Ali Velshi and Stephanie Ruhle have more than one show. Combined they get three hours a day, Monday through Friday. And there's still somehow no room for Joy Reid, full-time?

I'd say start complaining on @msnbc

Joy Reid is THE BEST interviewer in the news business. She does not suffer fools. She does not allow the "Gish Gallop" to continue, where some CON starts running off at the mouth and filibustering their wrong-wing talking points. She doesn't even allow a guest to try to slip in phrases like "the democrat party" or "my democrat colleagues" or "the democrat bill." I've seen her stop the conversation cold and gently but firmly correct the offender - "now, c'mon. We don't say that here. It's 'Democratic Party'..." etc. I REALLY love and appreciate that. That's bothered me for YEARS.

That's another thing I fantasize about doing, in my fantasy job as News Chief at MSNBC: imposing a new rule. Thou Shalt NOT Allow Guests To Get Away With Saying "Democrat Party" And/Or Other Such Derivatives. Obey this or lose your show.

Health care has been able to dictate prices to the consumers...and we have no negotiating powers as consumers! Talk about monopoly! Where are the anti-trust laws? Where are price controls to make it fair to the consumers?

You know, that teacher who won't let anybody get away with sloppy thinking... the one who embarrassed them for spouting unsupported nonsense. That's why she can shut them up without anybody yelling or gish galloping over her.

Experience has shown them that the MSM will let them say anything, unchallenged. If a contrary voice is offered, it becomes a he said/he said false equivalency.

Joy will have none of that. She is prepared to take on the bsers on live TV. Obviously, her research team knows each bser's spiel, and she uses that to drive their lies under her feet.

were attracted to during the election season, finally someone who would shut people down, who were spouting prepared talking points, instead of answering the questions. She is sharp as a tack, though I wish she wouldn't talk so fast at times. It can be exhausting, sometimes less is more.

Joy Reid is so smart, her personality so enthusiastic and her debating skills so keen that a 2-hour slot is a better framework for her. I believe her approach is too big for the confines of a one hour broadcast. Two hours gives her the time to have effective roundtable discussions and to bring back certain guests so they can talk about new topics and help her tie them together with what they discussed earlier in the program. What's better than longer discussions with Malcolm Nance on two segments.

I was sorry to see her replaced Monday to Friday. But her approach blossoms in the two hour format. Now she can even catch her breath during the ads.

I rarely get going early enough in the morning to catch her show live. So when I watch the recordings and breeze through most commercials I get an in depth C-Span feeling. It's an education and a treat. This morning's offering was so good I may watch it again this evening. Her analysis was on fire during the health care segment.

JR has made the weekend important viewing because otherwise I'll lose out on some of the best analysis and skewering of right winger talking points.
