Really want to turn those red or purple state blue: Do like Nevada. Legalize pot.

How about legalizing pot and passing 10% tax on it and funding a public option health insurance with the proceeds?

Estimates were way low in how much the states that legalized it would raise from the taxes. Those states are flush with tax cash. Could this be the answer to funding health care insurance for where Medicaid was not expanded or in place of Medicaid expansion for the newly insured?

Didn't work

ETA: I will concede though that the referendum was severely flawed.

Legalizing pot will not turn a red state blue.

Things just take longer here. It took three tries to get medical marijuana.
