So do you think we are FINALLY starting to see cracks form in GOP solidarity?...

So far the GOP with a few small exceptions have stood behind Trump even when doing so makes them look like buffoons, criminals and accessories to treason. And it's been a rough ride for them. But they want to loot the country so they stand behind the guy even when he shits all over them. But it looks like we are starting to see cracks form in the wall. Some of them may have had it with defending the guy and cleaning up his shit, being forced to eat it. I see some stories of republicans voicing concern and worry finally. Do you think this may finally be the start of the turn of the tide? Or do you think that will not happen till Mueller's investigation is done, which could take a long time.

As per usual, the Republicans don’t give a shit what happens to the country – but they DO care about their party’s “brand”.

The GOP brand is becoming more and more irretrievably linked with Idiot Boy – a simpering, narcissistic pathological liar who keeps digging himself into a deeper hole with every action, every statement, and every tweet.

Their first mistake was thinking they could control him and his “message”. When that didn’t happen, they figured they could defend him by “redefining” his incoherence as naivete or lack of experience. That’s now proving to be impossible.

The PTB in the Republican party – unlike their voting base – aren’t stupid. They see the same headlines we all do, the same sinking approval numbers, the same international news stories about the decline of the US’s stature in the global community since Idiot Boy took office. They also know that the majority of the country didn’t vote for Trump in the first place, and the number of those who still support him are dwindling.

Even the GOP spokes-mouths in the media are calling it in; they’re obviously fed-up with trying to spin Idiot Boy’s “covfefe moments” into something even remotely resembling intelligent thought.

I believe their hope was that Mueller-et-al would rid them of The Tangerine Beast while they stood back and said “it wasn’t us who took him down – it was beyond our control”. But they’re now realizing how much damage is being done to their brand in the meantime, and those mid-term elections are getting closer all the time.

The DeathCare Bill is becoming a death-knell for the GOP – no doubt elected Republicans are getting an earful from their constituents on a daily basis, and it ain’t to congratulate them for throwing their sick grandma under the bus.

The only hope Republicans are left with is distancing themselves from the Idiot they elected before he melts down completely – and takes their party with him.
