Repeal and Replace Never

Republicans are now testing the waters for a repeal the ACA and replace it later, which is actually a repeal and replace never strategy. We already know that Republicans don't give damn about access to affordable healthcare for their constituents. And even if they did care, which they don't, they are incapable of creating such a system, or they would have already done it sometime in the last 8 years.

Complete repealing to take effect within the next year or two without a replacement, would reach a deadline that sees to replacement. Then republicans can blame the democrats for the failure, because of their obstruction and because "Nancy Pelosi." Of Republicans might get around to letting insurance companies sell across state lines, so that they can rush off to the states with the very weakest consumer and patient protections. They might give the states stingey block grants for medicaid, a lot of which would become profits for insurance CEOs and repiblican cronies. Whatever a republican replacement might be will not be much for patients, but a really sweet deal for insurance companies and for-profit hospitals.
