President's Bedminster golf course prepares for "Women's" US Open

(LET"S HIT "THE BRAND" EVERY WAY WE CAN!)

President Donald Trump's golf course in Bedminster is preparing to host the most high-profile tournament in women's golf next week.

The women's US Open has a total purse of $5 million, but the president's politics have discouraged some players and fans.

"Hopefully, maybe he doesn't show up, and it won't be a big debacle," Brittany Lincicome recently told the Chicago Tribune. "It will be about us and not him."

Officials say they expect some protests. Women's rights groups say the president sends a bad message to young female golfers with statements like the ones recorded on a leaked Access Hollywood tape.

For his part, the president spent the Fourth of July holiday weekend there.
