if they pay $12,500, which is what they charge political campaigns who request the data. State law prohibits the release of dates of birth or Social Security numbers. http://www.jsonline.com/story/news/politics/2017/06/30/trumps-election-commission-seeks-voter-data-wisconsin-other-states/443051001/

which is a surprise given the general backward tilt of our current state government.

"The Secretary of State's office says the information to be released will include voter's name, address, race, gender, the date they registered to vote, the precinct where they are currently registered to vote, the date they last voted and the party they last voted for. Additional information, including the month and day of a voter's birth, driver's license number, Social Security number, telephone number and email address are all specifically excluded from the public voter list under a Georgia state law, and as such, will not be released to the Trump commission."

Most of this information is available here if you know the person's first initial and last name, birth date and county of registration:
https://www.mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.do
... but date of last vote and party they voted for is NOT available here. It pisses me the hell off that they're providing this information, because obviously it gives these goons a list of voters to fuck with.

But hey, they're going to charge the feds for the info, so I guess we'll all be getting a hundredth of a mil tax break.

Governor Jay Inslee is looking out for his people.

If he wants to run in 2020 as Kamala Harris's VP choice, that would be cool!...

Rhode Island Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea (D) took her criticism further, saying Kobach was unfit to lead the commission, given his record of strict voting laws and a recent court fine for failing to produce documents related to a lawsuit over voting laws.

“It is deeply troubling that he has been given oversight of this commission by the president,” Gorbea said.

Oh in fact he had an excellent refusal..

"The right to vote is absolute and I have no confidence that you seek to bolster it," Wolf wrote, in a letter to Kris Kobach, the commission's vice chair

Wolf raised a variety of concerns about Kobach's request, saying a wholesale public disclosure would violate state law and that there's no assurance the data would be handled securely.

"Your request implies that your office may undertake a systematic effort to suppress the vote in Pennsylvania," he wrote.
