Nightmare scenario

Looking at the 25th amendment and the current situation and a genuine and realistic nightmare scenario formed in my mind:

1) Mike Pence lied about Mike Flynn, we have known that as a fact for months. He lies to this day about when he was told and how much he was told.

2) the Mike Pence story gets legs, it was talked about at length on the RMS tonight, to the point he decides he has to resign.

3) Trump is beside himself and he knows that Pence is gone and he will feel trapped.

4) he names Steve Bannon as his new VP

5) confirmation is drawn out and contentious. 2 months and he has not been confirmed.

6) Mueller cannot wait any longer. He starts bringing down the hammer and briefing Congress.

7) trump resigns.

8) Steve Bannon, former editor of Breitbart, becomes the 46th president...

This scenario flashed before my eyes right before the end of the world did.

Under your scenario Ryan would become the president.

But in any case I do not believe the Senate would ever confirm Bannon as VP.

would be his choice, unless he could get Ivanka nominated. Would Bannon have to shower and shave before swearing in??

That's almost worse than Steve Bannon since Ryan has been dreaming about getting rid of all social programs (including Social Security and Medicare) since he was in college.
