Happy 4th of July everyone.

However, when you go to use your fireworks please consider our veterans who may have PTSD because of being on the battle field and were exposed to gunfire and bombing. Thank you.

1. I hope those veterans are taking precautions.

I'll be letting off some big boomers with my IWV neighbor this evening. Keep your pets monitored. More get away tonight than at any time of the year.

2. Even though they are strictly indoor pets I make sure they

can't get out. funny story though, I had a Beagle who was not afraid of fire works and when I took him out there were some people using fire works on the road next to us and he just did his thing without a worry. I also have a friend who's Lab tried to attack them and you had to hold her back. The rest of the animals I have known though disappear to places in the house that are unknown.

3. Very cool about the Beagle.

You don't often hear about dogs being that comfortable around fireworks. A friend of mine lost his dog on the 4th. It was scared and wedged itself behind a large fishtank stand. When my friend went inside the breaker to that room was blown and the doggy was dead. It's a night when pet owners should really keep an eye on them.

6. That is so sad. One does not think about

places that are dangerous in the house while they are busy trying to make sure they stay in.

8. If you go to the rodeo, don't set off fireworks during the bronc riding.

It is difficult enough staying on the horse already.
