Could the nightmare be any worse?

A totally child-like, ignorant, megalomaniac psychopathic murderer in control of North Korea's nuclear weapons of death. And an ignorant, unhinged, child-like, narcissistic man, with a need to show he has bigger balls than everyone else, in control of America's nuclear weapons of death.

So given these two characters in a head-on collision at this point in history, what could go wrong?

I truly hope that wiser heads will prevail either in NK or Washington. But hope in one hand, pee in the other, and see which one fills up first.

The US/Soviet Cuban missile crisis between Kennedy and Khrushchev in 1962, scared the hell out of the world. And it seemed to result in the conclusion that no one wanted, or could possibly start, a nuclear war.

How times have changed. Back then, two sane men were in charge. Today, the only thing I can say is that I believe the entire world is in great peril of a nuclear holocaust. That statement may make it sound like I'm the one who's unhinged. But the reality is that it should scare the hell out of everyone.

The world is literally on the edge of a nuclear war.

Yet, the virtually unimaginable horror of it doesn't seem to be registering. it's just one more item among G12, Putin/Trump, and the Fox "news" garbage of the day.

I think it was T.S. Eliot who said, "... this is the way the world will end. Not with a bang but a whimper."

Treaties.

Treaties could drag China and Russia to help North Korea. Dunno how many NATO countries have treaties with South Korea. So, yeah, it could get worse.
