The Polish first lady shook hands with Trump moments later. However, the photographs taken at the moment had a different story to tell. The angle in which the photographs were clicked, portrayed she did not shake hands with the president at all. Later, the Polish president took to Twitter to comment on the issue citing one of Trump’s favorite phrases: “Let’s fight Fake News.”

2. Well, it kind of was fake news

and it's the kind of shit we have to watch out for. The video clip that was posted here originally was clearly edited to eliminate the portion where the PFL did indeed shake hands with Trump, after she greeted Melania. It was posted here gleefully but was questioned as fake almost immediately. And so we step right into the trap. We have to guard against believing things we want so badly to believe and especially against crowing about them until we are absolutely certain of our facts. "Fake News" is a powerful weapon against us; the very few times the left (or the media) has been guilty of promulgating fake news give Trump et al. just what they need. It's an unforced error on our part, and it's a shame.

I think the man is supposed to wait for the lady to extend her hand for a shake - Trump already had his p-grabber out there ready to shake.

Maybe some other finer points that our ugly American president may have missed...

THAT was the funny part, when she breezed right past him to greet his wife first.

Nevertheless, it was funny, since Trump was expecting to be next and WAS rebuffed, if only temporarily.
