The Country Is Really Certifiably Insane. Trump, GOP, Conservatives & Company Like The Plague.

Each day of Trump and company are worse than the plague. You cannot simply get away from it. The media is no help whatsoverver. We seem to be on the precipice of of the mother of all disasters from some direction. The sense of dread is palpable. The fact that Trump has even more that 5% approval is indicative of how fucked up we are as a nation.

Might as well drink hemlock or snort arsenic or cyanide. There are times. The hate rhetoric and distortion is like being in a black hole. It is like being overrun by fire ants. There is so much shit coming out every day the GOP wants to do it is hard to keep up with it.

So much ignorant, hateful, untrue, distorted, vicious, sadistic crap comes from the GOP it makes you nauseous. And little of it is debunked. No wonder we are off the rails.

Short of insurrection I do not see how we stop the GOP from passing some form of racially motivated DEATH health care bill. And their murderous plot will also hit unintended targets who support them and will vote for them again.

Hopefully the protests will scare enough of these evil bastards. Even though there is hope it is hard to count on.

I do not know if we will ever get back to reality. And I am concerned that the media finds so many ways to diss and screw Democrats. I will never understand that Democrats need a message BUT THE GOP NEEDS NOTHING BUT SHIT.

What is worse being a veteran of Vietnam makes you wonder if your service was all a waste.

As a war veteran, does it bother you that a vast majority of veterans are 45 supporters? AJT Jul 2017 #2

It bothers me greatly because Trump & GOP want to privatize ALL of vets care and privatize military pensions and Tricare. Why don't these idiot get it. Plus their children will die in a Trump war. Attacking North Korea militarily in any way will be absolutely insane.

and views diplomacy and nuance as weakness. The military by definition is authoritarian. The US military is necessarily nationalistic, so the "other" are seen as enemies and need to be eliminated. I think a lot of vets are republicans because they identify with the rigid right/ wrong views that they were trained to believe in. The deeper issues of protecting the constitution or veteran's benefits don't hit the fear nerve. Calling dems unpatriotic because they see issues as complex or calling dems socialists/communists because they display compassion seems to fit the "america right or wrong" narrative that was ingrained it them. But I'm just spit-balling as I have zero experience.
