Ryan Says Hes Done with Town Hall Events

https://politicalwire.com/2017/07/08/ryan-says-hes-done-town-hall-events/

"SNIP..............

Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) told CBS News that he will no longer hold public town halls.

Said Ryan: “I don’t want to have a situation where we just have a screaming fest, a shouting fest, where people are being bused in from out of the district to get on TV because they’re yelling at somebody.”

Instead, Ryan said he would use “new and creative” methods of having a civil dialogue with constituents.

In my district we invited Vicky Hartzler. She refused, as usual. Strange how she refuses town halls when that was one of her biggest arguments while running against Ike Skelton in 2010.

We had an empty chair. The next week Renee Hoganson held one.Hogansen is running in the Democratic primary for that seat.
