innocent babies (you know, like a Death Panel) because they are too expensive to treat. Never mind that this poor child has an always-fatal genetic condition which even the doctor in the US they want to take him to says can't be cured; there's nothing that can be done for him except maybe extend his life for awhile. I guess a parent will do anything to help their sick kid, and unfortunately there will always be cynical politicians willing to take advantage of their desperation in order to advance their agenda.

In the United States there are many people who die because they have illnesses that are too expensive for their for-profit insurance companies to pay for, or to insure in the first place. But that's different because The Free Market.

He will be someone with pre-existing condition that reThugs will reject for health insurance or charge him an arm and a leg for the insurance. How hypocritical can they be?

But if he lived here (and survived) he'd be out of luck. An American child might get the experimental treatment, but ongoing treatment thereafter for such a serious condition would not be covered and his family soon would be bankrupt.
