If Trump continues to threaten the security of the USA and the GOP does nothing,

would the military or CIA take action?

After the stunning meeting with Putin, this seens more of a possibility.

...and still think that, even if it became necessary, America as a democracy would never recover.

And I'm not sure what action the C.I.A. in itself could take -- or, rather, I DO, and think one would probably draw the attention of the Secret Service for even mentioning it in a vague tone of approval.
