Can these guys get weirder? Now The Hill says Bannon has portrait made of himself as Napoleon.

Stephen Bannon has a painting of himself as Napoleon: report

White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon has a painting of himself as French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, according to a New York Magazine report.

The painting of Bannon as the famous French leader was reportedly given to Bannon by Nigel Farage, a former leader of the UK Independence party who has written for Breitbart, a conservative news website that Bannon once ran.

“On his office wall hung an oil painting of Bannon dressed as Napoleon in his study at the Tuileries, done in the style of Jacques-Louis David’s famous neoclassical painting — a gift from Nigel Farage,” the magazine reported.

4. Wouldn't it have been better if he'd painted Bannon as Robespierre?

Seriously, and not just because Robespierre ended up in two pieces. Robespierre was a serious tyrant. He was so insecure he was sending his closest allies, and their entire families, to the guillotine toward the end of the Reign of Terror. I hope Trump won't give this asshole anything lethal to act out his fantasies with, but Bannon would do that shit.

We don't need no steenkin fake emperors, or czars for that freaking matter. This is America. We hate both the real and the fake royal shit.

Now it's seen as just (with possibly a touch of sarcasm by New York mag) as "a healthy self-regard".

16. Does he not remember what happened to Napoleon in the end?

He died, in exile. So the sooner that happens to Bannon and/or Trump, the better.

So I'm not at all surprised.

He also had a painting of himself dressed as Caesar.

Just so you know, here's his wife:
