I think John Oliver said it best. This is "Stupid Watergate".

It has "all the potential ramifications of Watergate but where everyone involved is stupid and bad at everything."

I mean, Donnie Junior. "Hey, I'm just going to go ahead and post smoking gun proof of our collusion with Russia so we can deny our collusion with Russia, okay?"
