Romney adviser admits Mitt used NAACP speech as a photo op

Romney adviser admits Mitt used NAACP speech as a photo op

by Jed Lewison

A Romney adviser admits what was already obvious to all: that Mitt used the NAACP as a political prop:

Another campaign adviser told BuzzFeed that Romney's attendance at the convention wasn't primarily intended to break off a portion of the black vote, but to make clear to moderates that he intends to be an inclusive president.

"I think it's important to send a message that he's going to be president of the entire United States," said the adviser.

And what better way to prove that he plans to be inclusive ... than treating the NAACP as stockphoto.com.

be hoodwinked by any politician. The response to Romney's feeble attempt to win black votes over shows on their faces.

Am I reading this correctly?

The romney campaign thinks that telling a group, to its face, that he plans to repeal initiatives that that group clearly supports and push through initiatives that that group clearly opposes, was intended to communicate something positive to "moderates" ... that already presumably have differences with romney's "plans?"

Alrighty then ...!

On another note ... How can I get a job with the romney campaign? They must be the best jobs in America.

The romney campaign seems that to mirror the C-Suite of Corporate America, where bad decisions and poor planning are tolerated, if not rewarded, through continued employment, if not bonuses.

This, BTW, is completely divorced from the lower floors, where these things would result in termination.

I wouldn't. It probably pays less than minimum wage. And, you'd be surrounded by assholes.

But I wouldn't be surrounded by a$$holes because judging by their work-product, I would be getting paid for not showing up.

I've been listening to NPR all day, and every show has talked about, and every half hour it's reiterated on the news, complete with soundbites.
