According to a New York Times report, attorneys for Jared Kushner discovered the emails that were made public Tuesday between Donald Trump Jr. and an intermediary for a Russian lawyer. The lawyers, after finding out about the meeting, reportedly updated Kushners security-clearance forms. Paul Manafort, who along with Kushner was present at the meeting with Natalia Veselnitskaya last year, has told congressional investigators about the meeting, according to the Times. The newspaper also reported that the president signed off on a statement that Trump Jr. sent to the Times when its journalists were initially reporting on the meeting. The statement was reportedly crafted by top Trump advisers.

(14,530 posts)learned how to cover their tracks when they were younger. I am pretty sure many of us were not perfect angels in our teens. In order to keep out of trouble we had to learn how to hide things from our parents. I can remember sitting with my friends, planning on how to get away with something, weighing the risk of getting caught and the probable punishment if we did. This crew grew up with nannies and absentee parenting. When they did get in trouble money was thrown at it.
They sincerely believed they would not get caught, but if they did they would be able to worm their way out of it as usual. Now they are learning a valuable lesson the hard way and I couldn't be happier. I hope the lot of them end up living in the apartment Kushner owns, where the sewage backs up into the kitchen.
