Jr. thinks his Hannity interview is his "Checkers" moment

Found at the end of a good summary of the Jr. - Hannity brainfest last night. Just keep linking no to Nixon there Jr.

Meanwhile, The Washington Post reported Tuesday night that a friend of Trump Jr. said he viewed the Hannity appearance as his “Checkers” moment, referring to a 1952 speech then-vice-presidential candidate Richard Nixon gave to save his position on the Republican ticket.

is stupidly crazy if you ask me. I have no problem with a person hunting for food for the table but for a tail of an animal to hang on a wall is beyond stupid, all the way to insane.

Nixon in his "Checkers speech" threw out a full load of BS, trying to save his own ass after a slush fund for him was discovered.

It worked back then, but Nixon showed just how "honest" and "turstowrthy" he was in the years later, one writer during the 1950's said about Nixon's habit of smearing people he opposed, "He's traveling the country via the sewer."

Nowadays? The sewer is Faux "news."

No way Jr. knows enough history to make references to the Checkers speech. Far too ignorant and privileged to know about or give a shit about anything that doesn't affect him personally.

After Checkers it was clear sailing for Nixon as I recall. No more troubles on the horizon...oh wait.
