an injury.

Great opening game final set.
The last American male to win a grand slam was Andy Roddick in 2003 but who was the last American male to reach the semis?

but he reached the Olympic semi-finals in 2008. Might indeed be Roddick.

Murray is a fighter - let's see how this ends

Notice how he waits for winners to leave first - he plays by the rules and norms and never blames anyone else for his losses.

He'll need time off and with a baby on the way, maybe a good time for a break.

42. I have been an amateur athlete most of my life

For the first time ever I tripped on a stone and fell. Turns out I only bruised my right knee. I was worried that I may have strained somewhere, but all I had was some minor pain in the knee area and some swelling and it only hurt if I was upright. No doubt my fitness regime prevented any other problems, but I had the good sense to stay off the knee and swim instead of walking for a week.

Way too many professional athletes overwork their bodies. How is Murray playing with a damaged hip for ages?
Why is Djokovic playing with an elbow that has been giving problems for a year and a half? It makes no sense.

This year Wimbledon had way too many players retiring in the middle of games -they should never have started those games.

Started they don't get paid. For some of the lower ranked players just getting into the draw is enough money to get them through the year

for lower ranked athletes. That said way too many players who are not hungry collect our money and retire in the middle of matches although they know they were carrying serious injuries.
