Trump getting religion at this late date

"We similarly prayed for President Obama but it's different with President Trump," Moore said. "When we are praying for President Trump, we are praying within the context of a real relationship, of true friendship." Bleccch! How 'bout a con relationship? Yeah, Obama is the evil Muslim and Donnie the altar boy!

5. They aren't conned - they're riding him to what they hope is ultimate power over everyone on Earth.

Mammon's Evangelicals are big on profit-cy, power and being "God's emissaries in Flesh". Gives them self-validation to be sociopathic bullies. You see, calling your deity "God" hides the true identity of what is being worshipped. Is it an honest Creator of the Universe God? Is it a God or Spirit of a particular natural function?
Or is it just the "Do it Yourself God" from a kit that they have built in their own image to stroke their Egos and to absolve them of personal responsibility to their own humanity?

They're real "Now-Here" people, those worshippers of Mammon. They honestly believe that Tomorrow belongs with Them.

The religious right worship Republican Jesus, a frightening figure dreamed up by power hungry madmen that want the power of life and death over people.

They worship riches, wealth and power. They hate the poor, the sick and the outcast. They love violence and the threat of it against those they consider enemies.

The real Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world."

To shore up support with evangelicals who think standing with your eyes closed is proof you have a personal relationship with a magical sky daddy.

In reality he's Elmer Gantry and Lonesome Rhodes rolled up in one.

But maybe even Cal has changed his tune in the meantime--we've seen so many who initially opposed Trump only to eventually cozy up to him. I can't stand Cal Thomas's columns--so self-righteous and pontifical--but he had the right take on this one. The local paper used to carry him. Haven't read him in years.

6. Trump would claim to be an arm chair if he thought it would bring him an advantage.

And those same people would still pray over him and call him chosen by some god.

Trumps preacher was Norman Vincent Peale. Do evangelicals even know the type of doctrine he taught. If they did I suspect they wouldn't care for it much.

knowing full well that each and every one of them would plunge a knife into another's back to gain advantage.

But I hope they keep praying for Trump and especially with Trump. Because while they pray they are not doing anything that will cause harm to anyone else.

14. "A real relationship," Mr. Moore?

Please, tell us all about your real relationship with a thrice-married man who has had five children (that we know about) by three different women, who has defrauded thousands, cheated dozens of contractors, and chiseled on his taxes, and is proud of each and every one of these actions. What kind of real relationship do you have with someone like that? What reality is it based on?

Shameful!

15. A "real relationship" with Trump just means they haven't been thrown under the bus yet.

And that it's "different with Trump" just means they're racist.
