Suppose this Russian scandal is a big as it appears

Do you think Mueller would consider the chaos that might ensue should this be an all encompassing destruction of the Executive Branch and many in the Legislative Branch?

I'm sure pardons would be handed out but still.

Once sufficient evidence has been obtained by the special counsel, the precise orchestration of the upcoming timeline will be crucial. This course of events will rock our institutions gravely and a misstep could spark civil unrest and potential anarchy.

In truth, we all know. We know this is about to go down. There are tens of millions of ostriches who, on the other hand, do not know. Their worlds will be shattered, and they will have been pre-conditioned to blame the others, to blame the liberals, the Democrats.

You hit the nail on the head. As much as we clamor for impeachment, indictment and justice for all involved, and rightly so, executing the punishment will unleash a seismic response of historic proportions.

There's a deep order of succession, and all the states have procedures to fill congressional vacancies; in the meanwhile both chambers can get on fine with a few vacant seats.

What we *can't* survive is election theft, espionage, abuse of power, etc. being rewarded with the powers of office and not properly punished.

But Mr. Ected is right as well, this won't be pretty with regard to public reaction. The majority of people will likely breathe a sigh of relief, but the most zealous elements addicted to loony-right radio and Fox are not going to be happy at all. I fear there will be instances of domestic terrorism and violence.

I think he will do as much as he can to make sure that any crimes are brought to light and punished accordingly
