He has hovered around 38 or 39 for a long time. His base is solid unfortunately.

that the Repubs in congress will continues to stick by him due to the strength of ITs base. When do the GOP monsters abandon him then? Or don't they ever? I know that during Nixon there were still some GOP reps who eventually forced him to resign and politics has changed a lot since then.

It's at 27 % now.
