I tend to salute them with a different finger, or better yet the double salute.

You are exactly correct, they have ignored their oath of office (as well as any loyalty to the country or basic decency).

However, the oath of office for civilian office holders is to "support and defend the constitution." Only the military oaths include "against all enemies foreign and domestic."

An individual, except the President, elected or appointed to an office of honor or profit in the civil service or uniformed services, shall take the following oath: “I, AB, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.” This section does not affect other oaths required by law.

Congress ... The oath used today has not changed since 1966 and is prescribed in Title 5, Section 3331 of the United States Code ...

We the people ( at least the smart ones ): Do you remember your oath?

Republicans: What oath? We don't need no damn oath.

Especially the theocrats.

Or maybe, to them, "country" and "party" are synonymous. They certainly act as tho party is paramount.
