Damn I wish Obama had come out, last Summer already, surrounded by a representative from all 17 intelligence agencies, and gave a sober forceful press conference that America was under attack. That it was the first major attack by a foreign entity since 9/11. And that it included falsehoods about Hillary Clinton being spread. That Obama was the first to use the term "fake news". That Putin was targeting voting machines and that States would be required to set up stronger fire walls, or whatever other influence he could have on the States referring to the oft used under Bush....for National Security reasons. That he would at least set up the start of an investigation himself with his last month in office. Let the GOP dismantle it to their own demise.
Damn the torpedoes. If Mitch carried out his threat to then go on Fox News and say it was only a partisan attempt to help Hillary, then have at it. At least it would be recorded that Democrats stood up to this earlier, and Trump could not use any excuse like 'why didn't Obama do anything?' Because the truth would have come out eventually anyways, whether Hillary or Trump won.
