Question about the "timing" of the Secret Service Protection. . .

Reading the article in the Hill where it states

"Donald Trump, Jr. was not a protectee of the USSS in June, 2016. Thus we would not have screened anyone he was meeting with at that time,” Secret Service spokesman Mason Brayman said in a statement to Reuters on Sunday.

If that's the case, why would the lawyer bring up Secret Service protection at all . . . unless. . . there was Secret Service protection because there was a person at that meeting that had Secret Service protection. Who would that be? According to the article, only Cheetolini or Mrs. Cheetolini. . .

More that would go to the pile labled . . . "things that make you go hmmm. . . .". . .

then doesn't that mean that Cheetolini WAS there if there WAS USSS protection?

Sorry, I often don't see the obvious.

Donald Trump was going to attend.

If the USSS didn't vet people at the meeting it seems this was just an attempt
by the Trump team to deflect the issue and put the bame on the USSS for the
Trump team's bad decision to have the meeting.

I don't think I would hire this lawyer, he does not check his facts before running his mouth.
