This could be the first step in a state run media plan

The no camera WH briefings have slowly crept up on us recently. This is not by accident or fear of SNL. If you were to move to a state run media operation, how would you sell it?

First you would create distrust with the free media. Check. Then you would slowly control the delivery of WH briefings by adjusting the time, camera policy and release schedule of audio recordings. Check. Over time, each change will slowly be accepted until one day there is no free press briefings and information is delivered by the state.
