2. Someone on Kos

They think there will be no debates because Romney will have so many unrealistic demands so when and if Obama refuses, Romney will play it that the president won't debate him.

Did they mention that the dates times and places of three presidential debates and one vice presidential debates and the criteria for participation have already been set. The presidential debates are set up and run by the Commission on Presidential Debates and there aren't going to be any "unrealistic demands" by Romney or anyone else.

4. After watching the Biden Palin "debates" I don't think it matters

Biden could have wiped the floor with her and he didn't. It got me to start to thinking about real debates. Hell, same was even true with the Bush Kerry debates.

6. Not a chance. Debates happen every cycle. Refusing them would be a colossal blunder

No adviser would allow that. If he did, it would be a huge clusterfuck, complete with resignations and angry background quotes to the media.

He'll show up.

than the one that's in his head now.

At least a 486 chip, but even the current fastest chip won't help Rmoney against a human brain.

Of course there will be debates. But, like in 2000, 2004 and 2008, the GOP and media will work hard to lower the expectation on Romney's performance. As long as he doesn't end up drooling on his shirt, some pundits will declare the debate no worse than a tie.

It is more likely that you will become a billionaire tomorrow than it is that Romney will refuse to debate Obama.
