Treatment has advanced to the point where many types of cancer can be successfully cured.

Hoping that he has a swift recovery.

However, when he told the woman that Barack Obama was not a Muslm (No mame), I thought he has some decency compare to so many fellow Republicans.

Wishing him the best!

He and Graham have been the only two GOP legislators to at least express displeasure with Trump. They didn't do much more, though.

He pretty much seemed to agree with the woman that calling someone a Muslim was an insult. He should have said, "No, Senator Obama is not a Muslim - but so what if he were? Muslims can be honorable people who deserve respect."

Just denying that Obama was not a Muslim was no enough as far as I am concerned.

On the other hand, I hope he does well and has as much quality time with his family as possible. My sister died of the same thing in 1993 and the treatment options have not advanced very much since then. She had a year of quality time with her young sons, then six months of declining functioning that was hard on the entire family. I hope Senator McCain has a better result.

Despite maximum treatment, the cancer usually recurs.[3] The most common length of survival following diagnosis is 12 to 15 months with less than 3% to 5% of people surviving longer than five years.[2][3] Without treatment survival is typically 3 months.[9] It is the most common cancer that begins within the brain and the second most common brain tumor after meningioma.[5][10] About 3 per 100,000 people develop the disease a year.[3] It most often begins around 64 years of age and occurs more commonly in males than females.[2][3] Immunotherapy is being studied in glioblastoma with promising results

I would not have voted for him politically, but we're all on the same side against cancer.
