Why then is Paul Ryan, who also grew up without a father, but with considerable family resources, such an asshole?

If you enjoy this short tape of Al, you'll LOVE his new book just out this summer.

Al Franken, Giant of the Senate - it's warm, witty, funny and thought-provoking.

I love Al Franken. He is the true definition of a real man. Exactly the opposite of Donald Trump. Why are so many people blind to goodness? Why do they fall for the bullshit instead? I will never understand it.

There's not a lot I claim to know, but I know right and I know wrong. The republicans are wrong. Trump is wrong. Everything that's happened since the election is wrong, We need to make it right.

...but that's over now.

I joined the Democratic Party in 2008 for the express purpose of voting for Hillary in the primary. It didn't look like she'd make it to the general election, and she didn't but that's OK. She got my vote in 2008 and again in 2016 (primaries) as well as the 2016 general election.

I know now that I will never, ever vote for a Republican for anything. I hope the GOP goes under when this is finally over. They don't deserve to call themselves a political party.

I'm proud to call myself a Democrat.
