Trump went completely off the tracks last night in that NYT interview.

Why are we not talking about that this morning? Why are the pundits talking like he is still legitimate this morning? They are talking about his "ability" to flip from subject to subject. Ability? Really?

And I think most claim they're just overwhelmed and don't know what to make of his ... Insanity. The media isn't well equipped to deal with people who are not sane it seems.

accused about Russia, and really believes he is quilt free and he will not be proven guilty because he isn't. They all agreed that what he believes is absurd as well as his constantly going off on tangents and stating inaccurate historical facts.
The part of the interview where he DID get upset was when he spoke about Sessions and has felt angry about this way for many months.
He IS consistent in his absurd beliefs.

breezy and funny way.

He really is like a mob boss when he talks - joking with his crew as he prepares to ice the poor guy tied up in a chair.

Reminds me of the movie the Departed, which is based on life of Boston mobster James Whitey Bulgar. Trump is Bulgar in a suit.

Why would he submit to a media source that he himself has deemed to be unfair to him?

Unless....the NY Times...was about to report a story...went to the White House for comment...and the story was so inflammatory...Trump came in for the rebuttal...couldn't keep his mouth shut...and ranted about subject matter that had nothing to do with the original news item.

Grasping at straws.

When I first heard about it I kept wondering why in the hell would he talk to the NYT?

Other presidents have gone to 'enemy' news outlets as a show of strength and ability to take on anyone.
Trump seems like he has always sought the safety of house media.

My thought was this was an attempt to show the NYT how strong he is and it failed miserably.
