1. It's weird they're saying they'd have to wait till he's out of office and charge him?

Obama would still be in a Texas (or Alabama or SC......) prison after their State Police arrested him.
Seriously, the check on the President is Congress' power of impeachment. It was the Republicans who finally went to Nixon and said to pack up and leave.

at the state level. And, the NY State Attorney General is investigating Eric for charities fraud. Tiffany & Barron may be the only Trumps not heading to prison.

4. General question: can someone be pardoned for something for which they have not been convicted?

I don't know how this pardoning thing works, but doesn't someone have to be found guilty of the "crime" before he/she can be pardoned. If not, what is there to be pardoned?

Since his business and financial dealings will almost certainly show some very questionable and likely prosecutable things.

7. Civil offenses not pardonable

Mueller could seek to seize assets from money laundering, or he could impose fines for civil violations, and the pardon power does not block those.

But the only real solution is to elect Democrats. Courts are too slow.
