Russian Foreign Minister Drops Major Trump Bombshell In NBC Interview (VIDEO)
Holly Lee - July 21, 2017
President Donald Trump keeps digging the hole deeper, and at this point, its not clear how he could ever climb back out. It was already clear that Trump previously met with Russian President Vladimir Putin twice at the G20 Summit. Despite Trumps insistence that was it and the second meeting was only a meeting full of pleasantries, Russias Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov dropped a bombshell during an interview with NBCs Keir Simmons.
There could have been more. He told Simmons:
They might have met even much more than just three times.
Granted, Lavrov edged in a bit of snark afterward saying, Maybe they went to the toilet together. Sadly, thats not too hard to believe.
Lavrov tried to dismiss any other possible meetings, however, as insignificant and compared the meetings to the first day of kindergarten.
He also described a third meeting, which happened while they attended a social-dinner.
After the dinner was over
I was not there
President Trump apparently went to pick up his wife and spent some minutes with President Putin
so what?
After dropping those nuggets, he went on to comment on the U.S. presence in Syria, which is a major point of contention between the U.S., allies, and Russia. Not to mention, it serves as an acceptable reason for Trump not to be besties with Putin.
Furthermore, he added Russia would not support a regime change in North Korea, despite the fact it is run by an unstable dictator obsessed with destroying the U.S. Lavrov defended North Korea stating they did not test an intercontinental missile.

(4,858 posts)...it's impossible to untangle the whole web of lies, deceit, and paranoia engulfing the US, Russia, and everybody else in the world. But even so--if Trump *did* meet all those times with Putin, what interest does it serve the Russians to announce it so publicly? To weaken Trump, and keep the whole scandal humming? Thereby weakening the US as a whole? If so, Putin must feel that he's in a "heads I win, tails you lose" situation regarding this whole business. I wonder if he'll discover that he's being a little too clever by half...

(15,543 posts)Pisser. They have no respect for the republican Draft-Dodger-in-Chief, nor has he ever done anything to merit respect from anyone. Just wicked pisser.
The republicans have taken a major dump on America with this Draft Dodger, and his KGOP Cabal of Colluding Comrades.

(43,173 posts)He seems to have a sarcastic streak, and with the additional language barrier, it's tough to say when he's being serious or just bullshitting.
Remember when he was going into his meeting with Trump and someone asked him to comment on Comey's firing? "He fired Comey? I did not know that!"

(13,903 posts)they hold the US in contempt and they hold the US press in contempt. This guy will lie and play games for the fun of it, cuz Trump has already shown himself to be someone too willing to please.
He is the awkward kid trying to get into the cool kids club.
He has this problem with the European leaders as well, but in that case, he holds them in contempt.
Trump's "foreign policy" is not determined by any kind of duty to our interests. It is determined by his penchant for far right paranoiac ideology and, of course, his narcissism.
