Now, part of the problem with people arguing no and yes is that on both sides of an argument, there are facts that could support either side that cannot just be shouted down, and therefore, unless they are addressed in an honest manner, will never allow the debate to be settled.
Was Hillary the superior choice of 2016, yes. Then again, the Democratic Party simply could not have produce someone as unworthy of the Oval office as Mr. Trump if they TRIED TO.
Did the alt-left have a point about the party doing very shady things to try and make the primary a slamdunk?, yes. Did they go about expressing that in a manner they KNEW was foolhardy and dangerous?, yes. Have both the "my candidate or bust" sides done serious damage to their brands that the GOP is taking full advantage of? YES.
Was there Russian mischief?, oh HELL YES. Did the GOP exploit it, Hell yes. Should we be investigating it, YES. If we fail to, will someone, be it China , Russia, or whoever try it and worse in 2020, YES. Does that mean we should be counting the days until trump is impeached, NO. Is there a lot of stuff totally non russian that we should hang around Tfrump's neck...HELL YES.
DO we ALL need to stoop fighting the election of 2016, and start realzing that as bloody as primaries can be, we need to work together? YES. Does this mean that we will have to work with people who think we are too far left or too far right, and talk until we gave needs seriously addressed, yes.
Are we making steps towards working together...now sadly, that is the big maybe.

(44,096 posts)Bernie said he lost fair and square.
Only things I saw in the emails were some catty statements along the lines of Sanders campaign always needs reminders so they won't miss deadlines, Jeff Weaver is annoying, et cetera.
Assange of course applied a lot of 'sinister' spin, but the spin never fit what was written. Exploitive bloggers ran with the spin and amplified it, because clickbait.
Other than that, great post.

(50,934 posts)of the Flint water crisis, Brazile told a Clinton staffer there would be a question on the Flint water crisis.
That was the huge news in the email dump. That was what we let the right whip us into a frenzied circular firing squad over.
Also a piss poor risotto recipe. Really. Awful.

(38,309 posts)I'm one of the more hard left socialists here on DU, and an environmentalist extremist as well (die automobile age, die... tear down these highways...) but I will not forgive the innumerate "alt-LEFT."
They need to do the math, and if they can't, they are worthless disruptors.
Hillary Clinton ran on the most progressive Democratic Platform ever, in this nation where the "center" leans hard right.
I supported Clinton enthusiastically. I can do the math.
The "greens" are not green, the reluctant and nervous Democrats are the worst. They are the useful idiots of the right.
I could tell you how I really feel, but I've had posts hidden for that.
