terrorism attacks? Get the US out of a 15 year war started by Bush? Watch them get decimated as they were by the mujaheddin during the Soviet-Afghan war? See Putin and his oligarchs become so consumed by wars that they can't focus on much else? Maybe there is yet still hope of a bright spot in this dark fiasco.
