Solar eclipse sunglasses available at 4,800 US libraries (map)

We have distributed over 2 million free eclipse glasses to over 4,800 library locations (public libraries, state libraries, book mobiles, tribal libraries). This represents approximately one-third of all libraries in the country. To find a library in your area, zoom in on the interactive map below… then click on a drop pin for contact information.

They were going to distribute the eclipse glasses the day of / day before the eclipse. That didn't sound like enough lead time, so I bought a few pairs from one of the many web sellers.

It's important to actually use the libraries. They keep records of such things, which they use when trying to continue to get funding.

Get a library card, check out materials. Use your local library or it will disappear.

Of course I know we still have libraries, but given the current GOP agenda they might not be funded very well.

Not sure how many GOPers know we have them, sadly.
