When wil mainstream media call Trumpers what they really are.

Here's what I've found and believe they have to be to still support him:
Sexist
Racist
Xenophobic
Ignorant
Redneck

Instead, its that they are:
Fiercely loyal
Staunchly partisan (most would not understand the word staunchly)
Disrupters
Anti establishment

1. Because it's not their job to demonizes people?

And, maybe it's a really dumb idea to insult potential viewers who we would very much like to see move away from Fox news.

I live amongst them.
They will never leave Fox News.
They will never like black people, Jews, gays, uppity liberal women, non Christians.
They are immovable politically.

The media does not exist to facilitate the creation of demographic targets in order to please people who hate them.

That has changed.
They are attacking the media to invalidate it.
New tactics are needed for free and open journalism to survive.
Legitimate media must call out illegitimate media now.
Otherwise, they will succeed in making facts "alternative".

It is a stretch to claim that ALL Trump voters hold all or even some of the beliefs you mentioned. Pushing that logical fallacy is simply an effort to create a negative stereotype.
The interpretations of behaviors into ideology and beliefs is an extremely low standard that might offer a satisfying confirmation bias, but it is my hope that the media would not use stereotypes simply to please those of us who oppose Trump.
Targeting voters biases based on stereotypes was the basis of Nixon's southern strategy. You can't switch the target and try to claim that you are just telling the truth.

They hold all those beliefs and worse. I live among them here in Alabama. They hate black people, foreigners and non Christians. They are universally dumb as a box of rocks despite being convinced that they are the enlightened ones because they watch Fox News. The reality is however that they do not even possess a fundamental level of knowledge necessary to carry on a conversation with me about current events. Beyond a Fox News slogan or catch phrase they don't know enough to have a 5 minute conversation about any topic. They live in a complete bubble of misinformation and will just start insulting you the second they realize you don't agree with them.

These are the same people who told me for 8 years that Obama was the literal biblical antichrist and who still believe he is a Muslim terrorist to this day. (Even they had to lay off the antichrist thing when he voluntarily left office after the last election) These are the same folks who called Michelle Obama "first gorilla" instead of first lady. All they have learned since the civil rights turmoil of the 60's is don't say the N word when the guy from CBS points a camera at you and don't admit publically that race is the reason you hate someone. But they are hopeful that Trump is going to make all that that OK again when he makes America great. Trust me if you are black or Jewish you don't want to see what their idea of a "Great" America is.

I mean every single Trump supporter in the entire country. Your sample is pretty small given that there are 49 other states in the US. This is sounding a lot like the anti-southern stereotyping. Sterotyping and demonizing people is wrong when it is applied to marginalized groups and it's wrong when a subsets of a privileged group is singled out.

Avoiding that ugly Nixonian trap would be one of the very few honorable things the media does if they continue to not cater to haters on the left.

I hear the Trumpers from other states use the same cover phrases and cover words the rednecks here use. I can give you examples if you like.

I also love how I can't know what Trump voters are like in general because I only live in one state. What do you base your belief that they are just good old folks on? Are you living in all 50 states?

I'm saying that no one has enough information to reasonably draw those blanket conclusions, and that the media would be irresponsible if they portrayed all Trump voters as stereotypical caricatures. Drawing conclusions based on limited information is the specialty of the right. I would be disappointed to see the media go there.

It is an urban vs rural things.
Birds of a feather DO flock together.
City dwellers are much more liberal than rural ones.
Stats back that up in voting and registration patterns.

Pres Obama famously responded once when one of his backers from Chicago asked him...how can I best help you...he responded...move to Nebraska.

I look like them.
I am an old, fat, white guy that always wears a ball cap.
At the store, the mall, the gym, etc..... I hear them openly talking amongst "their own" where I easily blend in.
They love Trump because they think he hates the same people that they hate...they only consume right wing media and they believe it 100% without questioning it.
